Sara Albone attempted to climb Ben Nevis

Just weeks after experienced climbers Tim Newton and Rachel Slater were killed by
an avalanche on Ben Nevis , Sara Albone, 28, attempted to scale the mountain totally
unprepared.
At the weekend the 28-year-old set out for the challenger in trainers and without
telling anyone where she had gone. Miss Albone was caught up in freezing conditions
and showed signs of hypothermia including difficulty moving. But luck was on her
side when a kind group of climbers found her 'drenched and frozen' at the summit of
the 4,411ft mountain, in the Scottish Highlands.
A rescue helicopter was called for but conditions meant it could not reach her.
Another trio of experienced climbers were called in and found the four men huddled
around the hapless climber, with one having given up some of his own dry clothes.
